Haritza Camblong

Haritza Camblong was born in Baiona, Basque Country, on January 31, 1972. He received the “Maitrise de Physique” degree in the UPPA, Pau, France, in 1994, the Electrical Engineering degree from the ENSIEG, Grenoble, France, in 1996, and the PhD degree in Control Engineering from ENSAM, Bordeaux, France, and the University of Mondragón, in 2003. After his graduation in 1996, he worked in Ikerlan, the research center of MCC industrial group, in Mondragon, for two years in mechatronics applications. Later, he worked with MSI Engineering company, in Andoain, for other two years. In 2001, he joined ESTIA Engineering School in Bidart, where he created the EneR-GEA research group. Since November 2008, he is a member of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), where he is currently with the Systems Engineering and Control Department, and SI+E research group in Donostia-San Sebastián. He is the coordinator of the Master in “Control in Smart Grids and Distributed Generation”. His current main lectures are in Automation and Control, Digital Control and Modelling and Control of Wind Turbines. His current research interests include control of wind turbines, AI-based energy management systems, PV power collective self consumption, smart grids and storage systems.
