IKUR 2030 is the Basque strategy implemented by the Department of Education of the Basque Government in the field of research of excellence.
About Ikur
It was created with the aim of strengthening the scientific fabric of the Basque Country, promoting scientific research in specific strategic areas and positioning them at an international level, by focusing research on economic and social impact.
The four strategic areas of IKUR are:
- Neurobiosciences
- Quantum Technologies
- Neutrionics (encompasses the physics of neutrons and neutrinos)
- Supercomputing and Artificial Intelligence
