EU Policy Officer, Basque Government Delegation to the European Union
I graduated from the UPV-EHU in Sociology and Political Science, specialising in Political Sociology, and studied European affairs and international relations at postgraduate level. After 6 years working for the United Nations (UNICEF Costa Rica and UNDP Guinea-Bissau), I have been part of the technical team of the Delegation of the Basque Country to the European Union since 2004. As a Policy Officer in External Action, I am a focal point of European policies in the field of education and specialisation, creative and cultural industries, development cooperation and international agendas. I also advise on those policies to socio-economic stakeholders and actors and public authorities, and open up opportunities in the European agenda. I have also completed different courses and training in Europe, the USA, Costa Rica and Africa.
